Alibaba Cloud DNS Pricing

Billing method

Alibaba Cloud DNS adopts the subscription billing method.
The subscription price is calculated as follows: Price of the edition + Price of DNS protection × Number of domain names + Price per domain name × (Number of domain names - 1).

Alibaba Cloud DNS provides three paid editions. The following table lists the price of each edition. The final price you need to pay may vary.

DNS protection

Alibaba Cloud DNS provides two levels of protection. The following table lists the price at each level. The final price you need to pay may vary.

The price of DNS protection is calculated as follows: DNS protection price of one domain name × Number of second-level domain names. The number of subdomains is not limited.

Number of domain names

The following table lists the price per domain name in each edition. The final price you need to pay may vary.

Each Alibaba Cloud DNS instance supports one domain name by default and does not limit the number of DNS records. You are charged for additional domain names and can add up to 100 domain names to an instance. The price per domain name varies based on the edition.

If you add multiple subdomains of the same second-level domain name, they are billed as one domain name. The number of DNS records in each subdomain is not limited.

Example

For example, you subscribe to Alibaba Cloud DNS for one year and purchase the following items: Enterprise Ultimate Edition, DNS Attack Defense Basic, and 15 domain names.

The final price is USD 1,469, which is calculated as follows: 81 + 86 × 15 + 7 × (15 - 1).

Expiration

You can subscribe to Alibaba Cloud DNS for one month, three months, six months, or one year. The subscription duration starts from the day that you place the order.

If your subscription expires, the features that are included in the paid edition you subscribe to become unavailable. However, you can continue to use the features provided by the free edition.

You are notified by email or SMS message seven days before your subscription is due to expire.

After the expiration, your DNS configuration is retained for another seven days. If you renew the subscription within the seven days, your DNS configuration is not affected. Otherwise, the configuration provided in the paid edition is deleted. You can only use the configuration provided in the free edition.
