China Merchants Securities International, Alibaba Cloud and DingTalk Form Trilateral Partnership

Initiatives range from smart office to cloud services, big data and AI solutions

Hong Kong, June 28, 2018 – China Merchants Securities International Company Limited (CMSI), the overseas business platform of China Merchants Securities Co., Ltd. has today entered into a strategic partnership with Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group and DingTalk, the enterprise communication and collaboration platform of Alibaba Group. The three-way partnership aims to accelerate CMSI's digital transformation as the company expands its services to more customers worldwide.

CMSI is a global financial institution with presence in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Korea and Singapore. The company has embarked on a digitization journey as part of its global expansion strategy.

The partnership is the latest example of Alibaba Cloud's capability to offer powerful and scalable solutions to the financial sector.

Under the partnership, Alibaba Cloud will provide cloud computing services and consultation to support CMSI's IT infrastructure while CMSI will leverage Alibaba Cloud's big data and AI capability to underpin its digital upgrade.

As an integral part of the digital transformation, CMSI plans to adopt DingTalk as its first enterprise instant messaging platform. By leveraging DingTalk's seamless real-time communications service, CMSI can boost its operational efficiency and create a more cohesive office environment across the board.
