The CPU utilization metric for a Tair persistent memory-optimized instance in CloudMonitor is updated to collect only the CPU utilization that is returned by the INFO command.

【Affected instances】
Tair persistent memory-optimized instances

【Update date】
June 13, 2023

【Metric update】
Before the update, the CPU utilization metric for a Tair persistent memory-optimized instance in CloudMonitor indicates the average CPU utilization of the Tair instance and its operating system. However, due to the high CPU specification (three cores and more) of a persistent memory-optimized instance, the metric may stay at a low level and may not be useful for your business. Meanwhile, the CPU utilization displayed in the Tair console is the CPU utilization returned by the INFO command of Redis, which has higher reference value for your business.
After the update, the CPU utilization of the Tair persistent memory-optimized instance in CloudMonitor is the same as the CPU utilization displayed in the Tair console. Both of them are equal to the CPU utilization returned by the INFO command.

【Impacts and recommendations】
This update involves only changes in the metric value, and does not affect your actual business.
After the update, the CPU utilization of a Tair persistent memory-optimized instance in CloudMonitor may be two to three times higher than that before the update. If you configured an alert rule based on the CPU utilization of a Tair persistent memory-optimized instance in CloudMonitor, adjust the alert rule to prevent false positives and false negatives.
