Description: The automatic backup feature of Key Management Service (KMS) 3.0 is released for instances of the software key management type from 09:00 on May 6, 2024 to 18:00 on May 10, 2024.
1. For new instances, the data of an instance is automatically backed up when the instance is enabled. This allows you to restore data within the last 90 days. The backup data is permanently deleted 90 days after the instance release.
2. For existing instances whose image versions are 2.3 or later, the current-day key and secret data of an instance is automatically backed up when the instance is released. If you unsubscribe from or release an instance or you do not renew an instance after the instance expires, the instance is released. The backup data is permanently deleted 90 days after the instance release. If your existing instances use an image whose version is earlier than 2.3 and you want to use the automatic backup feature, you must upgrade the image to the latest version.
3. You can delete all backup data of an instance after the instance is released. Before you delete backup data, you must confirm that no applications or cloud services use the backup data.
4. The existing free backup feature and the value-added backup feature remain unchanged. You can still use the features.
Upgrade impact: During the upgrade, access to the KMS console is unaffected. After the release, the feature is updated based on the description.
