[Alibaba Cloud] [Database Backup (DBS)] [End of Free Offer for the Storage of Backup for Deleted Instances]

The Backup for Deleted Instances service provided by Database Backup (DBS) stores the backups for RDS instances that have already been released, and is currently free to use. However, the free offer will soon end and the usage of this service will soon be charged. Please take note of this change.
Effective Date: 2022/09/14 00:00:00 (UTC+8) onward
Scope of Impact: Released RDS instances, the Backup Retention of released RDS instances of which is not set to be ‘null’.
Details of The Change: The storage of backups for released RDS instances will be charged after the effective date.
Pricing Details: Free of charge for the first 7 days after deletion. After 7 days, pay for the storage usage if you continue to store the backups. See documentation for more information. Regions: We will start charging customers in China (Chengdu), China (Hohhot) and Singapore from September 14, 2022, and customers in other regions from September 20, 2022.
In order to avoid unexpected charges, we recommend you to set Backup Retention of released RDS instances to be ‘null’ so that you won’t be charged because of further retention.
