[Alibaba Cloud] [ECS] [Announcement on the changes or modifications to the ECS quotas module]
Upgrade time:
Starting 22:00:00 on May 7, 2024, a canary upgrade is performed for users in batches.
Upgrade plan:
1. During the transition period from May 7, 2024 to July 4, 2024, the old and new versions of the ECS quotas module may be available to specific users, but only the new version of the ECS quotas module takes effect.
2. Starting July 4, 2024, all users are upgraded to the new version of the ECS quotas module. Only the new version of the ECS quotas module is available and takes effect since then.
The new version of the ECS quotas module includes the following updates:
1. ECS quotas are changed from per-instance type quotas into per-instance family set quotas to reduce the number of quotas and facilitate quota management.
2. Alibaba Cloud converts your old version of the ECS quotas module into the new version and provides sufficient initial quotas in the new version on a best-effort basis to prevent impacts on your business.

Upgrade impact:
1. If you configured monitoring and alerting for the quotas in the old version of the ECS quotas module, alerts may not be triggered for the quotas after the upgrade. We recommend that you configure monitoring and alerting based on the new version of the ECS quotas module at the earliest opportunity.
2. If you integrated ECS quotas into features, you must modify the quotas in code after the upgrade to ensure that the features work as expected.
