What is quantum computing?

Quantum computing is a swiftly emerging tech that utilizes the laws of quantum mechanics to fix problems too complex for basic computers.

According to the website of the Institute for Ethics in AI, "philosophers contributed importantly to the growth of medical ethics 40 years ago, and we are now at a critical point where a common ethical involvement is required to deal with the queries raised by the rise of AI."


Tim Berners-Lee feared his invention could become a world-destroying weapon in the wrong hands. He has spent the majority of his life attempting to protect the internet from those seeking to exploit it. He noted that though the web expanded creative opportunities, gave marginalized groups a way to be heard and made day to day living easier, it also offered a platform for hate groups and a playground for thieves.
