When you restore a Cold Archive object in Object Storage Service (OSS), a Standard replica of the object is generated for temporary access. You are charged for the temporary storage of the replica until the Cold Archive object returns to the frozen state.

Note This topic describes the billable items and billing methods of OSS. For more information about OSS pricing, see Object Storage Service pricing.

Billable items

Important The temporary storage fees for replicas and the storage fees for Cold Archive objects are separately calculated. For example, if you restore a Cold Archive object of 1 GB and the object remains in the restored state for one day, you are charged for the storage of the Cold Archive object and the temporary storage of a Standard replica of 1 GB for one day.

Temporary replica (LRS) capacity (TempStorageCAStd)When you restore a Cold Archive object, a Standard locally redundant storage (LRS) replica is generated for temporary access. You are charged for the temporary storage of the replica until the Cold Archive object returns to the frozen state. The replica is automatically deleted after the Cold Archive object returns to the frozen state. You are billed on an hourly basis. Bills are generally generated after a billing cycle ends. The time when bills are generated is determined by the system.
  • Pay-as-you-go: Temporary storage fees = Restored object size (GB) × Unit price per month/30 (days)/24 (hours)
  • Resource plan: not supported
