Automatic backup (set backup policy)

1. Log on to the Memcache Management Console and locate the destination instance.

2. Click the instance ID or Manage to enter the Instance Information page.

3. In the left navigation bar, select Backup and recovery.

4. Click Backup settings.

5. Click Edit to set the Backup cycle and Backup time.

   重要

   The default retention period for backup data is 7 days and cannot be modified.

6. Click Confirm to complete the automatic backup settings.

Manual backup (immediate backup)

In addition to regular backup settings, you can also initiate a manual backup at any time in the console.

1. Log on to the Memcache Management Console and locate the destination instance.

2. Click the instance ID or Manage to enter the Instance Information page.

3. In the left navigation bar, select Backup and recovery.

4. Click Create Backup in the upper right corner.

5. Click Confirm to immediately back up the instance.

   You can select a time range on the backup data page to query historical backup data. The default retention period for backup data is 7 days, so you can query historical backup data within 7 days.

Data recovery

Losses caused by user misoperations on the database can be minimized through the data recovery feature. Currently, Memcache provides recovery based on backup data.

1. Log on to the Memcache Management Console and locate the destination instance.

2. Click the instance ID or Manage to enter the Instance Information page.

3. In the left navigation bar, select Backup and recovery.

4. On the Backup and recovery page, select the Backup data tab.

5. Locate the backup file to be restored and click Data recovery.

6. In the Data recovery window, select Confirm to directly recover data to the original instance; or select Clone instance to restore the backup data to a newly created instance. After confirming that the restored data is correct, perform data recovery on the original instance.

   重要

   Because data recovery operations are risky, if time permits, it is recommended to first use the clone instance method. Create a pay-as-you-go clone instance based on the backup set to be restored. After verifying the data accuracy, perform the data recovery operation. Clone instance

Clone instance

With the clone instance feature, you can clone a new subscription or pay-as-you-go instance based on the backup file. Complex database development and deployment operations are completed with a one-click graphical interface, greatly improving work efficiency.

1. Log on to the Memcache Management Console and locate the destination instance.

2. Click the instance ID or Manage to enter the Instance Information page.

3. In the left navigation bar, select Backup and recovery.

4. On the Backup data page, select the required backup dataset and click Clone instance.

5. Click Confirm to enter the Purchase Instance page. Complete the instance configuration and click Buy Now to create the clone instance.

   After the purchase is complete, check the newly generated clone instance in the Instance List of the Memcache Management Console.
