Memcached | Memcached is a high-performance distributed memory object caching system. For the official introduction, see Memcached. ApsaraDB Memcache is compatible with both Memcached binary protocol and text-based protocol. |
Instance ID | An instance corresponds to a user space and is the basic unit for using ApsaraDB Memcache. ApsaraDB Memcache has different QPS and traffic limits for a single instance based on different capacity specifications. Users can see the list of purchased instance IDs in the console. |
Connection address | The Host address used to connect to ApsaraDB Memcache is displayed as a domain name and can be queried in Instance Information > Basic Information > Instance Details > Internal Address. |
Connection password | The password used to connect to ApsaraDB Memcache. It can be set at the time of purchase or reset after purchase. |
Hit rate | The number of successful user reads divided by the number of user reads. |
Password-free access | Refers to the ability of users to access the corresponding ApsaraDB Memcache on an authorized ECS without a username or password. For more information, see password-free access. |
SASL | SASL stands for Simple Authentication and Security Layer, which is a mechanism used to extend the authentication capabilities of the client-server model. Memcached supports SASL authentication starting from version 1.4.3. Due to the multitenancy shared attribute of ApsaraDB Memcache, SASL is also used as an authentication mechanism. SASL essentially ensures the security of cached data using passwords. It is recommended to use strong passwords and adopt a policy of regularly changing passwords. ApsaraDB Memcache automatically performs authentication every 60 seconds. |
