File gateways support the sync delay feature. A file gateway must wait a specified period of time before it uploads a file to the associated Object Storage Service (OSS) bucket.

Scenarios

Every time you update a file that is being uploaded by a file gateway, the file gateway has to re-upload the file to OSS. Therefore, if you frequently update a large file, the bandwidth may be exhausted. If a file gateway has the sync delay feature configured, the file gateway waits until the whole file is uploaded to the gateway, and then uploads the file to OSS. This saves bandwidth and improves the upload efficiency.

Configure sync delay

Enable the sync delay feature when you create a share. For more information, see Create a share.
