Telnet is a powerful port testing tool for network management and server debugging. However, the Windows operating system does not enable this feature by default. This article describes how to install Telnet Client in Windows.
Open the cmd window (using Win + R) as the administrator and run the following command:
dism /online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:TelnetClient
- Go to Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows features on or off.
Check the Telnet Client option.
You can use Telnet after the installation is complete.
