  1. Start VLC media player and choose Media > Open Network Stream. The Open Media dialog box appears.

  2. Obtain the streaming URL.

    Log on to the ApsaraVideo Live console. Choose Stream Management > Ingest Endpoints. On Ingest Endpoint Management page, find the stream that you want and click Streaming URL in the Actions column. 

  3. Go back to VLC media player. On the Network tab of the Open Media dialog box, enter the streaming URL and click Play.

    After you complete the preceding steps, you can view the live stream.

    Note: In normal cases, the buffer period is 2 to 5 seconds. The buffer period varies with the network condition.
