How many ICP Filing subjects can I apply for from a single Alibaba Cloud account?

One Alibaba Cloud account corresponds to one set of ICP Filing subject (company or individual) information. However, a single subject can hold ICP Filings for multiple websites. If you want to apply for multiple ICP Filing subjects, you must submit applications from different Alibaba Cloud accounts.

Can the ICP Filing account be different from the account used to purchase the domain name or server?

The Alibaba Cloud account used for ICP Filing does not have to be the account used to purchase the domain name or server. This means you can submit an ICP Filing application from an account other than that used to purchase the domain name or server. The account information does not affect the review of your ICP Filing application.

How do I import information from the old HiChina ICP Filing management platform to the new Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing platform?

If you obtained an ICP Filing through the old HiChina ICP Filing management platform or obtained an official store/official company website ICP Filing before January 2017, log on to the ICP Filing system to import the filing information to your Alibaba Cloud account to facilitate subsequent ICP Filing operations. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system (only available in Chinese) and click the Import ICP Filing Information button in the upper-right corner of page.

  2. Click Import Information and Continue ICP Filing.

  3. Enter your account and password used for ICP Filing on the old ICP Filing platform. After verification, you can import your filing information to the new platform. If you have forgotten your account or password for the old ICP Filing platform, click ICP Filing Account Email Initialization or Retrieve ICP Filing Logon Password to reset your account name or retrieve your password.

I forgot my logon account for the old HiChina ICP Filing system. What can I do?

If you cannot retrieve the password for your account on the old HiChina ICP Filing system, you can click ICP Filing Account Email Initialization, enter your ICP Filing information, and upload your credentials. Then, you can reset your ICP Filing account. This operation replaces your original ICP Filing email account, so proceed with caution. Alibaba Cloud processes your application within one or two business days of receiving it.

After completing account email initialization, you can use your new account to log on to the ICP Filing system. We recommend that you use the Password Retrieval function to reset your password.

Note:

  • Prepare the necessary documents in advance.

    Individual: Original scanned copy or photograph of the front and back of the ICP Filing applicant’s ID credential and a half-length photograph of the applicant holding the ID credential.

    Organization: A half-length photograph of the applicant holding the valid credential of the ICP Filing subject. If the applicant is not the subject administrator or website administrator, provide a letter of authorization from the organization based on the relevant template and stamp the letter with the company seal. You must also provide an original scanned copy or photograph of the applicant’s ID credential (front and back for second-generation ID cards). Click to download the letter of authorization template.

  • Make sure the information you provide is truthful and accurate, that document images are clear, and uploaded documents are authentic and valid.
