Application example description

Last Updated: Jan 17, 2018

The number of application instances is also called the number of application nodes.

The number of application instances is the number of ECS instances or Docker instances that you use to deploy applications.

Example: Example 1: You have bought 100 ECS instances for you account, among which 60 instances are installed with EDAS Agent. Three applications, App1, App2, and App3, are deployed on 50 instances. For EDAS, the 50 instances are the billing objects, and the number of application instances you use is 50.

Example 2: If Docker-based deployment is used, three applications are deployed on two ECS instances. In this case, six Docker instances are used. For EDAS, the six Docker instances are the billing objects, and the number of application instances you use is 6.
