Resource package FAQs

Last Updated: Sep 27, 2017

Some common resource package FAQs:

What are the benefits of purchasing resource packages over Pay-As-You-Go resources?

DirectMail resource packages are based on a tiered system which offers different specifications you can purchase according to your business requirements. Resource packages can work out to be more cost-effective than Pay-As-You-Go resources, especially if you purchase higher specifications. For details, see the Billing methods and Purchase guide.

What is the validity period of resource packages?

Each resource package has a validity period of 6 months. You cannot unsubscribe from, or receive a refund for, unused package resources once you activate it or it expires. If you have multiple packages, sent emails are deducted from the package with the earliest expiration date. If all of your resources are consumed within the validity period, the billing method will automatically switch to Pay-As-You-Go.

How can I view the status of a resource package?

To view your DirectMail resource package information:

  1. Log on to the Billing Management console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Resource Packages.
  3. Click Overview.
  4. Select product DirectMail.

To view your package usage details:

  1. Log on to the Billing Management console.
  2. On the left-side navigation pane, click Resource Packages.
  3. Click Usage Detail.

Can my daily or monthly quota increase after I purchase resource packages?

No. The daily quota and monthly quota are related to your weekly historical email data (including invalid address proportion, email arrival rate, and the number of spam email reports), and are not related to the number of purchased resource packages.

How is email deducted from resource packages?

Emails are deducted from your purchased packages. If you have multiple packages, emails are deducted from the package with the earliest expiration date. If all your resource packages have reached their quota, any further emails are billed as Pay-As-You-Go.
