Problem description
Elastic IP Address (EIP) cannot be bound to a NAT gateway.
Cause
The NAT gateway function is upgraded. For users who have NAT bandwidth plan under their accounts before November 03, 2017, you cannot directly bind EIPs to NAT gateways.
Note: For existing NAT gateway bandwidth plan users, Alibaba Cloud will stop selling NAT gateway bandwidth plan from May 15, 2020, causing inconvenience to you. Please understand.
Solutions
To bind a new EIP to a NAT gateway, perform the following steps:
- Apply for a new EIP
- Associate an EIP with an EIP bandwidth plan
- Associate the Elastic IP address with the NAT Gateway
- Create a DNAT entry or Create a SNAT entry
