This topic describes how to enable and disable auto-renewal for chargeable Data Management (DMS) items and how to manually renew chargeable DMS items.

Prerequisites

The subscription billing method is adopted by the purchased chargeable DMS items.

Precautions

DMS supports the subscription billing method, which requires a renewal if a chargeable DMS item expires. To prevent your business from being affected, renew chargeable DMS items at the earliest opportunity. For more information, see Expiration and overdue payments.

  • You can enable auto-renewal for DMS items that you purchase. For more information, see the Enable auto-renewal section of this topic.
Note To disable auto-renewal, see the Disable auto-renewal section of this topic.
  • If you enable auto-renewal, the system deducts fees from your Alibaba Cloud account nine days before the chargeable DMS item involved expires. Make sure that your account has a sufficient balance. The balance and vouchers in your account can both be used for fee deductions.
  • If you manually renew a chargeable DMS item before an automatic deduction can be applied, no automatic deduction will be attempted until close to the next expiration date.
  • If a chargeable DMS item is about to expire the next day, manually renew it to prevent service interruptions. For more information, see the Manually renew a chargeable DMS item section of this topic.
