VPN Gateway:Modify the maximum number of concurrent SSL connections

Last Updated:May 14, 2024

This topic describes how to modify the maximum number of SSL-VPN connections supported by a VPN gateway.

Background information

During the process of a downgrade, if the number of connected SSL clients exceeds the upper limit, connections may be interrupted. We recommend that you configure automatic reconnection for your services.

Effective time

After you modify the SSL specification of a VPN gateway, the new specification immediately takes effect. However, you may need to wait a few minutes due to network latency.

Impact on billing

After you modify a VPN gateway and submit the order, the system bills the VPN gateway based on the new configuration. For more information, see Billing overview.

You can modify the SSL specification as needed.

  1. Log on to the VPN Gateway console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the VPN gateway that you want to manage is created.

  3. On the VPN Gateway page, find the VPN gateway that you want to manage.

    • To upgrade the SSL specification, click Upgrade in the Maximum Concurrent SSL Connections column.

    • To downgrade the SSL specification, click Downgrade in the Maximum Concurrent SSL Connections column.

  4. In the SSL Connections section, specify a new SSL specification.

  5. In the Terms of Service section, read and select the check box to agree to the Terms of Service, click Buy Now, and then complete the payment.
