Alibaba Cloud VMware Service (ACVS) allows you to add hosts to a cluster in a PrivateCloud instance. This increases the computing and storage resources of the cluster. However, the number of hosts in a cluster cannot exceed the limit of ACVS. For more information, see Limits.
Prerequisites
A PrivateCloud instance is created.
The PrivateCloud instance is not in the Configuring state.
Procedure
Log on to the ACVS console. In the left-side navigation pane, click PrivateCloud Instance. On the PrivateCloud Instance page, find the PrivateCloud instance that you want to manage and click its ID.

On the Cluster and Host tab, find the cluster for which you want to increase resources and click Add Host in the Actions column.

In the Add Host dialog box, configure the Number of Added Hosts parameter and check the configuration fee displayed at the bottom of the dialog box. After you confirm the information, click OK.
NoteWhen you add a host to a cluster, ACVS automatically configures the type of the host based on the original host type of the cluster. You cannot modify the type.
If you add a host to a cluster, the expiration date of the host is the same as that of the PrivateCloud instance on which the cluster is deployed.
Complete the payment as prompted. The PrivateCloud instance enters the Configuring state. It takes about 1 hour to add the host.
ImportantWhen the PrivateCloud instance is in the Configuring state, you cannot create clusters or add hosts to existing clusters in the instance.
