  • A management account can share equity assets with multiple member accounts, but member accounts cannot re-share received assets.

Configure Equity asset sharing

Two sharing methods are available: manual sharing and automatic sharing.

Manual sharing

Configure sharing for a specific asset ID with selected accounts or organization nodes. The sharing scope applies only to that asset.

  1. On the Account Sharing > Equity Asset Sharing page, find the Asset ID that you want to share and click Edit in the Actions column.

  2. In the dialog box, select a sharing type: Share with Account or Share with Organization.

    • Share with Organization: Shares the asset with one or more organization nodes. The sharing scope updates automatically when the organization membership changes.

      Note

The sharing scope adjusts automatically as organization membership changes.

New accounts gain access automatically if the account limit is not exceeded. Removed accounts lose access automatically.

Organizational unit changes take effect within about a minute.

Trial Savings Plans cannot be shared.

    • Share with Account: Shares the asset with specific accounts. The scope does not change unless you manually adjust it.

  3. Select the accounts or organization nodes to share with, and then click OK.

Automatic sharing

Automatic sharing settings

Configure automatic sharing rules by asset type. New assets of the specified type are automatically shared with the configured scope.

  1. On the Account Sharing page, click Configure Automatic Sharing.

  2. In the dialog box, enable automatic sharing for the desired asset types, select a sharing type and scope, and click OK.

    Note
    • After a newly purchased asset becomes active, the system applies the sharing rule within 10 minutes.

    • When you share with an organization, the sharing scope adjusts automatically as membership changes.

    • New accounts gain access automatically if the account limit is not exceeded. Removed accounts lose access automatically.

    • Organizational unit changes take effect within about a minute.

    • Trial Savings Plans cannot be shared.
