Time Series Database:Upgrade and downgrade a TSDB for InfluxDB® instance

Usage notes

• Take note of the following items when you upgrade or downgrade a TSDB for InfluxDB® instance:

  • When you upgrade or downgrade your instance, your services may be interrupted for about 30 seconds once or twice. During an interruption, you cannot perform most operations related to databases, accounts, or networks. We recommend that you modify the configuration of your instance during off-peak hours. Alternatively, make sure that your application can automatically reconnect to the instance.

  • After you submit the upgrade or downgrade order, do not perform DDL operations before the new configuration is applied.

• The instance automatically restarts after it is upgraded or downgraded. You do not need to manually restart the instance.

• Submitted upgrade or downgrade orders cannot be canceled. Therefore, we recommend that you evaluate whether the new configurations can meet your requirements before you submit an upgrade or downgrade order.

Upgrade a TSDB for InfluxDB® instance

1. Log on to the TSDB console.

2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region in which the instance you want to upgrade is located.

3. Click Upgrade in the Actions column corresponding to the instance that you want to upgrade.

4. On the page that appears, configure Instance Specifications and Storage Capacity.

   Important

   The new storage capacity must be larger than the current storage capacity of the cloud disk. You cannot scale in the disk storage capacity after the scale-out operation.

5. Read and agree to the terms of the service. Then, click Buy Now and complete the payment.

Downgrade a TSDB for InfluxDB® instance

1. Log on to the TSDB console.

2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region in which the instance you want to downgrade is located.

3. Click Downgrade in the Actions column corresponding to the instance that you want to downgrade.

4. On the page that appears, configure Instance Specifications and Storage Capacity.

   Important

   You cannot scale in the disk storage capacity.

5. Read and agree to the terms of the service. Then, click Buy Now and complete the payment.
