Simple Log Service provides one-stop services, such as log query, analysis, processing, and consumption. This lets you focus on analysis instead of performing tedious query and organization tasks. This topic describes how to enable or disable the log analysis feature.
Prerequisites
Activate Short Message Service and Simple Log Service before you authorize the log analysis feature.

Enable the log analysis feature
Log on to the Short Message Service console.
In the navigation pane on the left, select .
On the Messaging Log Analysis page, click Authorize.
Click OK and follow the on-screen instructions to grant Short Message Service access to Simple Log Service using the AliyunServiceRoleForDysmsLog role.
ImportantThis is a one-time operation required for the initial configuration. You must use an Alibaba Cloud account to perform this operation.
If you are a Resource Access Management (RAM) user, you must have the required permissions. For more information, see RAM user authorization.
Do not revoke the authorization or delete the RAM role. Otherwise, Fraud Detection logs cannot be pushed to Simple Log Service.
After you enable the log analysis feature for Short Message Service, the system creates a Project named sms-log-Alibaba Cloud account ID and a dedicated Logstore named sms-log.
After the authorization is successful, the log analysis feature is enabled.
You can view data in the Log Operations Center, Business Statistics Center, and Operations Management Center.
Disable the log analysis feature
If you no longer require the log analysis service for Short Message Service, you can delete the associated roles in the RAM console and the project from the Project list.
Go to Projects and delete the sms-log-Alibaba Cloud account ID project.
Go to the RAM role list and delete the AliyunServiceRoleForDysmsLog and AliyunServiceRoleForSLSAudit roles.
After the deletion is complete, the log analysis feature will be disabled the next day.
The change takes effect the next day. You are still charged for that day. No more fees are incurred after that.
Advanced management
You can use advanced management features by navigating to the Simple Log Service console. From the console, you can perform advanced operations, such as setting up alerts and notifications, subscribing to and consuming data in real time, delivering data, and connecting to visualization services.
Log on to the Short Message Service console.
In the navigation pane on the left, select .
In the upper-right corner, click Set Log Retention Period.
In the dialog box that appears, click Simple Log Service Console to open the Simple Log Service console.
