Why is the quota of a one-year resource plan used up in one month?

Simple Log Service subscription resource plans use a calendar monthly cycle. Each month, a fixed quota is provided and any unused portion is cleared at the end of the month. The remaining quota does not roll over to the next month. When you purchase a subscription resource plan, you receive the same quota at the beginning of each month to offset fees.

For example, if you purchase a resource plan (one year, 100 CUs) on January 10, 2023, you have a quota of 100 CUs each month from January to December 2023. If your usage in January 2023 exceeds 100 CUs, you are charged for the excess based on the pay-as-you-go billing method. In February 2023, your quota resets to 100 CUs.
