This topic explains why overdue payments may occur after you purchase a resource plan.
You can view your consumption details for Simple Log Service in Expenses and Costs. For more information, see Bill query.
Overdue payments may occur after you purchase a resource plan for the following reasons:
Your actual usage exceeds the specifications of your resource plan.
For example, you purchase a one-year resource plan that provides 100 Compute Units (CUs) per month. If your usage in a month exceeds 100 CUs, the excess usage is charged using the pay-as-you-go billing method. This can result in an overdue payment. To avoid this situation, you can purchase additional resource plans.
Billing delay.
A resource plan takes effect immediately after purchase and automatically covers the usage fees for Simple Log Service. However, Simple Log Service bills are generated on the following day. For example, your resource plan becomes active at 10:00 on December 29, 2021. If you receive a bill for an overdue payment at 04:00 on December 30, 2021, the charges may have been incurred before your plan became active at 10:00 on December 29, 2021. When you receive a bill, check the time when the charges were incurred.
Charges from other cloud products.
Simple Log Service resource plans cover only the billable items for Simple Log Service. You are still charged for any other cloud products that you use.
