Alibaba Cloud has announced an end-of-sale (EoS) date and time for pay-by-specification Classic Load Balancer (CLB) instances: June 1, 2025, at 00:00:00 (UTC+8).

Impacts
Pay-by-specification CLB instances cannot be created.
Pay-by-LCU CLB instances cannot be converted to pay-by-specification.
Pay-by-specification CLB instances purchased before the EoS date and time will not be affected. These instances will retain their rights and receive support as committed within the term of service.
Recommendations
Consider purchasing the following types of Server Load Balancer (SLB) instances:
Pay-by-LCU CLB instances: These are easy to create and use. They charge based on actual usage and can be released at any time. For details about billing, see Pay-as-you-go.
Application Load Balancer (ALB) and Network Load Balancer (NLB) instances: These offer higher performance and better scaling capabilities, with a simpler pay-as-you-go billing method than CLB.
