After a custom image from Simple Application Server is shared to ECS, Alibaba Cloud recommends copying the image in the ECS console to create an ECS custom image. You can then use the copied custom image to create an ECS instance or replace the operating system of an existing instance.
Prerequisites
You have shared a custom image from Simple Application Server to ECS. For instructions, see Share a custom image to ECS.
Procedure

Go to the Images page of the ECS console.

In the top navigation bar, select the region of the source Simple Application Server.

Click the Share Image tab, and then enter the ID of the shared custom image in the search box.

In the Actions column, click Copy Image and configure the parameters.
The following describes the key parameters for this example. Configure other parameters as needed.

Destination Region: This is automatically set.
NoteThe image can only be copied to the region where the source Simple Application Server is located.

Name: Enter a name for the copied custom image. The name must be 2 to 128 characters in length. It can contain letters, digits, periods (.), underscores (_), hyphens (-), and colons (:), and cannot start with a digit or special character.

Description: Keep the default description. If needed, you can customize the description.

Click OK.

Click the Custom Images tab. In the search box, enter the Name that you specified to find the copied custom image.
The following describes the location of the search bar.
The search bar is located below the Custom Images tab and above the image list. It contains a search box and a Tag Filter drop-down button.
