To send a Simple Application Server API request, you must send an HTTP or HTTPS GET request to the Simple Application Server endpoint. You must add the request parameters that correspond to the API operation being called. After you call the API operation, the system returns a response. The request and response are encoded in UTF-8.

Request structure

Simple Application Server API operations use the RPC protocol. You can call Simple Application Server API operations by sending HTTP or HTTPS GET requests.

Use the following request structure when you send a Simple Application Server API request:
  • https: the protocol used to transmit the request.
  • Endpoint: The endpoint of Simple Application Server is swas.[RegionId]
  • Action: the name of the operation being called. For example, to query details about one or more simple application servers, you must set the Action parameter to ListInstances.
  • Parameters: the request parameters for the operation. Separate multiple parameters with ampersands (&).

Request parameters include common request parameters and operation-specific request parameters. Common parameters are used for all Simple Application Server API calls regardless of the operation.
