The Classic Load Balancer (CLB) console supports idle instance management to help you control the costs of your CLB instances. If a pay-as-you-go CLB instance remains idle for at least seven days, it is displayed on the Expired Instances page.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the CLB console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Classic Load Balancer (CLB) (formerly known as SLB) > Expired Instances.
  3. On the Expired Instances page, you can view the CLB instances that remain idle for at least seven days. You can click Settings to view the IP address or region of the CLB instance, or the reason why the CLB instance is idle.
  4. If you no longer need the CLB instance, you can click Release in the Actions column to release the CLB instance.
    Note Updates to the idle instance list have a one-day delay. If you use a CLB instance in the idle instance list, the CLB instance will be removed from the list on the next day. Before you release a CLB instance, make sure that the CLB instance is not in use.
