    Security Center:Enable the cloud honeypot service

    Before you use the cloud honeypot feature, you must purchase and enable the service.

    Pricing

    Cloud honeypot charges based on the number of probes. Two probe types are available:

    • VPC probe

      A VPC probe is deployed on an Alibaba Cloud VPC. Each VPC can have only one VPC probe.

    • Host probe

      A host probe can be deployed on any host. Each host can have only one host probe.

    Both probe types have the same pricing. You must purchase at least 20 probes and can purchase up to 500 probes. To purchase more than 500 probes, contact your account manager for capacity expansion.

    Procedure

    1. Log on to Security Center console.

    2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Risk Governance > Cloud Honeypot.

    3. On the Cloud Honeypot page, click Buy Now

      • If you are using the Free or pay-as-you-go edition, you are redirected to the Quick Purchase page.

      • If you have purchased a subscription instance, you are redirected to the Order Upgrade page.

    4. On the Quick Purchase or Order Upgrade page, set Cloud Honeypot to Yes and configure Quantity.

    5. Click Order Now and complete the payment.

    What to do next

    After you enable the cloud honeypot feature, you can deploy cloud honeypots on your servers or VPCs. For more information, see Configure Cloud Honeypot.
