SAE Professional Edition applications integrate the ARMS Premium Edition application monitoring feature. After you enable application monitoring, this feature monitors your applications in real time. This topic describes how to enable, disable, and access this feature.
Enable Application Monitoring
After you enable application monitoring, the system injects a built-in agent into each instance. This agent consumes approximately 0.2 cores and 200 MB of additional resources. Plan your resources in advance.
Create Application
Log on to the SAE console. In the navigation pane on the left, choose . Then, select a destination region and namespace.
On the Application List page, click Create Application, select a Professional Edition application, and click Create Application.
On the Application Basic Information wizard page, configure the basic information and click Next: Advanced Settings.
Find and expand the Application Monitoring area. Then, enable application monitoring.
Click Create Application.
Change a Running Application
After you redeploy an application, the application is restarted. To prevent unpredictable errors such as business interruptions, we recommend that you deploy applications during off-peak hours.
Log on to the SAE console. In the navigation pane on the left, choose . Select a destination region and namespace, and then click the name of the target Professional Edition application.
On the Basic Information page, click Deploy Application.
Find and expand the Application Monitoring area. Then, enable application monitoring.
Click OK.
Disable Application Monitoring Feature
On the Basic Information page, click Deploy Application.
Find and expand the Application Monitoring area. Then, disable application monitoring.
Click OK.
Access the Feature
On the SAE Application List page, select a region and namespace at the top, and click the ID of the target application to open the application details page.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Application Monitoring. You can view detailed monitoring information on the page that appears.
