An instance in Serverless App Engine (SAE) is the minimum running unit for an application. An SAE instance type determines the number of vCPUs and the size of memory that you can consume. We recommend that you select Instance type 1 (0.5-core CPU, 1-GiB memory) in a test environment. In a production environment, you can select an instance type that provides higher specifications.
