Resource Orchestration Service:Edit a template

Last Updated:Jun 16, 2026

You can edit a template in the Resource Orchestration Service (ROS) console to update its content and create a new version.

Note
  • Each time you edit a template, its version number increments by 1. For example, v1 becomes v2.

  • A template supports up to 100 versions. If the version limit is reached, the edit operation fails and you must create a new template.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ROS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Templates > My Templates.

  3. On the My Templates page, find the template that you want to edit and click Actions in the Actions column.

  4. On the Edit Template page, modify the template content.

  5. In the upper-right corner of the Edit Template page, choose Save Template > Save as My Template.

  6. In the Save as My Template dialog box, configure new settings for the Template Name and Template Description parameters.

  7. Click OK.

After the edit is saved, the new version appears in the Latest Version column on the My Templates page.
