Resource Orchestration Service:Diagnose a failed request

Last Updated:Nov 13, 2024

Resource Orchestration Service (ROS) provides the quick diagnostics feature to help you diagnose the causes of failed ROS API calls and ROS stack executions. This topic provides an example on how to diagnose a failed request. In this example, the request submitted to delete a stack group is diagnosed.

Scenario

Anomalous operations may be performed in the ROS console. In this case, you can click Diagnose to diagnose all anomalous operations, identify failure causes, and obtain remediation suggestions. Then, you can follow the suggestions to remediate the issues and perform the operations again.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ROS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Stack Groups.

  3. On the Stack Groups page, find a desired stack group and click Delete in the Actions column.

  4. Click OK.

  5. The Error message appears.

  6. Click Diagnose to submit a diagnostic task.

  7. After the diagnostic task is submitted, the Diagnostics page appears.

    Note

The diagnostic process requires a certain period of time. Wait until the diagnostic process is complete.

  8. View data in the Diagnostics Results and Suggestions sections. Then, follow the provided suggestions to delete the stack group again.
