Log on to the ROS console.
-
In the left-side navigation pane, click Scenarios.
-
In the top navigation bar, select a region from the drop-down list.

(Optional) In the Resource Type section, select one or more Resource Types.
You can select up to 15 resource types.
-
-
Select specific resources
-
In the Method section, select Source resource.
-
In the Source resource section, select a Resource Types and a Resource ID.
You can select up to 20 resource types.
-

Configure the destination parameters.
Parameter
Description
Delete Resource
Specifies what happens to the source resources when you delete the replicated stack. Valid values:
-
Retain: Retains the source resources when you delete the replicated stack.
-
Delete: Deletes the source resources by default when you delete the replicated stack. In the deletion confirmation dialog box, you can choose which resources to retain. ROS deletes any resources that you do not select.
Destination Region
The region where the resources are replicated. By default, the current region is used.
Destination Zone
The destination availability zone for the replicated resources. If you replicate resources within the same region, ROS uses the source availability zone by default. If you replicate resources across regions, ROS automatically selects an availability zone.
Destination VPC
The destination Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) for the replicated resources. If you replicate resources within the same region, ROS uses the source VPC by default. If you replicate across regions, ROS automatically creates a new VPC.
NoteEnsure that the CIDR block of the destination VPC does not overlap with the CIDR block of the source VPC.
Destination vSwitch
The destination vSwitch for the replicated resources. If you replicate resources within the same region, ROS uses the source vSwitch by default. If you replicate across regions or to a specific destination VPC, ROS automatically creates a new vSwitch.
NoteEnsure that the CIDR block of the destination vSwitch does not overlap with the CIDR block of the source vSwitch.
Replicate ECS Instance Data
This parameter is available only if the source resources include an ECS instance. To ensure data consistency, stop the source ECS instance before you replicate the instance data.
Tags
You can add tags to or remove tags from resources.
NoteEach resource can have up to 20 tags.

-
Click Create.
After the resource scenario is created, its Status changes to Created.

Delete: Resources are deleted by default when their stack is deleted. If you choose to retain specific resources in the confirmation dialog, ROS deletes only the unselected resources.
-
-
Set tags for the resource scenario.
NoteYou can add up to 20 tags to the resource scenario.
-
Click Create.
After the resource scenario is created, its Status changes to Created.

Parameter
Description
Destination Region
The destination region of the resources. By default, the region of the source resources is used.
Destination Zone
The destination zone of the resources. By default, if you migrate resources within the same region, the zone of the source resources is used. If you migrate resources across regions, the system automatically selects a zone.
Destination VPC
The destination virtual private cloud (VPC) of the resources. By default, if you migrate resources within the same region, the VPC of the source resources is used. If you migrate resources across regions, the system automatically creates a VPC.
NoteMake sure that the VPC CIDR blocks of the migrated resources contain the VPC CIDR blocks of the source resources.
Destination vSwitch
The destination vSwitch of the resources. By default, if you migrate resources within the same region, the vSwitch of the source resources is used. If you migrate resources across regions, the system automatically creates a vSwitch.
NoteMake sure that the vSwitch CIDR blocks of the migrated resources contain the vSwitch CIDR blocks of the source resources.
Replicate ECS Instance Data
This parameter takes effect only if the source resources contain an Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance. If you select Replicate ECS Instance Data, ROS replicates the data on the ECS instance. To ensure data consistency, you must stop the source ECS instance before ROS replicates the instance data.
