Templates are used to create stacks and serve as the blueprint for infrastructure and architecture. This topic describes how to create a template in the Resource Orchestration Service (ROS) console.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ROS console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Templates > My Templates.
  3. On the My Templates page, click Create Template.
  4. On the Create Template page, enter the content of your ROS template.
    You can use the ROS online template editor to enter the template content. For more information, see Online template editor.
  5. In the upper-right corner, choose Save Template > Save as My Template.
  6. In the Save as My Template dialog box, configure Template Name and Template Description, and select a resource group from the Resource Group drop-down list.
    Note If you do not specify a resource group, the template is added to the default resource group. For more information about how to create a resource group, see Create a resource group.
  7. In the Tag section, add one or more tags.

  8. Click OK.
