You can add tags to resources in the Tag console, the Resource Center console, or a cloud service console. Use predefined tags to standardize your tagging system. This topic shows how to add them to your resources.
Limitations

You can add tags only to resources from supported cloud services and resource types. For more information, see Cloud services that support tags.

A resource can have a maximum of 20 tags. To add more tags, request a quota increase in Quota Center. For more information, see Limits.
Add predefined tags to new resources
When creating a resource, you can add predefined tags in the service's console. This example shows how to add a tag when creating a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) in the VPC console.

Log on to the VPC console.

When you create the VPC, select a predefined tag using the tag key and tag value lists.
For example, the Tag Key is set to
BusinessUnitand the Tag Value is set toBeijing.For more information, see Create and manage a VPC.
Add predefined tags to existing resources
For existing resources, you can add predefined tags in the Tag console, the Resource Center console, or a cloud service console. The following steps provide an example using the Tag console.

Log on to the Tag console.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose .

In the tag list, find the target tag and click Add to Resources in the Actions column.
NoteIf a tag key has more than three tag values, click View More to view the full list of tag values.

In the Add to Resources dialog box, select the target resources.

To add the tag to resources across different products and regions: Set Method to Specify Resources to Select from Resource List, and then select resources from the resource list. You can filter resources by multiple conditions.

To add the tag to resources within a specific product and region: Set Method to Specify Resources to Enter Resource IDs, select the product and region, and then manually enter the resource IDs. Separate multiple IDs with a comma (,).
