Realtime Compute for Apache Flink:Manage tags

Last Updated:Jul 14, 2026

Tags, consisting of a tag key and a tag value, identify your cloud resources. Use tags to categorize, search for, and aggregate resources to simplify resource management. This topic describes how to manage tags in the Realtime Compute for Apache Flink console.

Background information

You can create and assign tags to cloud resources for several purposes:

  • Find resources by using tags

Assign tags to your resources to quickly find them by using the tag console or an API. For more information, see Find resources by using tags.

  • Use tags for cost allocation

Plan tags for your resources based on organizational or business dimensions, such as region, department, environment, or project. You can then use Alibaba Cloud's cost analysis and split bill features for cost allocation.

  • Automate O&M by using tags

Assign different tags to different environments (such as production or test), operating systems (such as Windows Server or Linux), or client platforms (such as iOS or Android). Then, create a template in CloudOps Orchestration Service and run the template to automate O&M tasks in batches. For more information, see Automate O&M by using tags.

  • Control resource access by using tags

With Resource Access Management (RAM), you can use tags to grant users permissions to access and manage specific cloud resources. For more information, see Create a resource with a specific tag and Control access to ECS resources by using tags.

Limitations

  • You can assign a maximum of 20 tags to each workspace.

  • Tag keys and tag values can be up to 128 characters long.

  • You cannot modify existing tags.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Realtime Compute for Apache Flink console.

  2. Hover over the Tags icon in the Tags column of the target workspace, and click Edit Tags.

  3. In the Edit Tags dialog box, click New Tag.

  4. Enter a tag key and a tag value, and then click OK.

To delete an existing tag, click the Delete icon in the Edit Tags dialog box.

  5. Click OK to apply the tags.
