This topic provides an overview of how to access workspace, report name, report type, dataset, data table, and data source name information for a specific report.
Background information
Lineage analysis is available exclusively in the Pro and Professional Editions.
Only space administrators, organization administrators, and users with custom roles that include artificial intelligence for IT operations permissions can access and utilize the lineage analysis feature.
Lineage analysis is categorized into organization-level and space-level analysis. Organization-level analysis supports both graph and list patterns, whereas space-level analysis is limited to the graph pattern.
Only published resources are subject to lineage analysis.
The updated version of lineage analysis (graph analysis pattern) is being rolled out progressively. To access it early, please reach out to the business operations team for activation.
Organization-level lineage analysis
Graph analysis pattern
Navigate to the organization-level lineage analysis page as depicted below.

Select the desired lineage analysis object.

Lineage analysis is not supported for data sources set up via the template market after installation.
Proceed to the lineage analysis page.
Click Start analysis to access the lineage analysis page for the selected analysis object.
View the owner and access details of the analysis object, examine associated upstream and downstream resources, and select resources for further analysis using the mouse. Analysis extends to the dashboard widget and workbook block levels.

Switch the analysis object by double-clicking.

Expand or collapse upstream/downstream resource views.

Toggle the expansion or collapse of details.

Choose to display the legend based on resource type and status.

Search for graph nodes using a keyword.

Adjust the sort order.
By default, resources are unsorted. You can sort by upstream and downstream resources or by resource name.

Utilize the export function.
Follow the steps illustrated below to export data.

After clicking Confirm, you will be automatically directed to the task list interface.

In the task list interface, you can export the corresponding task.

Historical tasks can also be exported from the task list.
Revert to list pattern.

Switching back to list pattern will reset the current lineage graph. For operations in list pattern, see list pattern.
When dealing with many upstream or downstream nodes, list pattern is recommended to optimize the analysis experience.
List pattern
On the Report Lineage Analysis page, select the Workspace, Query Type, Report Type, and Report Name. Then click Query.
NoteQuery types include report, dataset, and data source & data table. Report types encompass dashboard, workbook, downloads, and ad hoc analysis.
Click Export to download the query results in Excel format.
