Quick BI:GUI Elements in the Quick BI Console

This topic describes the basic structure of the Quick BI console to help you understand the My Kanban, Workbench, Open Platform, and Organization Management modules when you access the Quick BI console for the first time.

Service architecture

Quick BI is used for data consumption in all scenarios. You can perform operations to drive data flows in your enterprise by using different roles:

  • My Data is designed for executives and users who view reports as a personal data platform.

  • Enterprise Portal is designed for executives and users who view reports as an enterprise-level BI portal (administrators can customize it for the enterprise).

  • Workbench is designed for developers or analysts to perform data analysis.

  • Open Platform is designed for enterprise developers or community developers with customization requirements.

Menu bar

You can click an icon in the menu bar to switch to the entry point for the related feature and perform related operations.

My Data

  • Homepage

    Supports personalized homepage report settings to enable users to view corresponding reports by default.image.png

  • Card Kanban

    Pin data cards from reports here to track data changes in one place.

  • Metric Monitoring

    Displays alert data for the monitoring metrics that you follow.

  • My Favorites

    Displays resources that you have added to favorites.

    • You can expand the favorites list as shown in the figure.

    • Supports keyword search (1) and filtering by type (2).

    • Supports clicking More to View in New Window, Copy Link, and Remove from Favorites.

  • Recently Visited

    Displays recently viewed resources.

  • Shared with Me

    Displays resources shared with you.

  • The side navigation can be collapsed.

    After clicking to collapse, the effect is as follows:

    If you want to pin the side navigation bar, you can move your mouse to the image.png icon and click to pin it.

  • Resource Preview

    Resources in My Favorites, Recently Visited, and Shared with Me support preview.

    Taking My Favorites as an example, you can click a resource to enter preview mode. You can open multiple preview interfaces and switch between them.

    Note

    A maximum of 5 menus will be kept for you.

    You can click the image icon in the upper right corner to Close Current, Close All, or Close Others menus.

    • Close Current: Closes the current preview page.

    • Close All: Closes all open preview pages.

    • Close Others: Closes all preview pages except the current one.

Enterprise portal

Customize an enterprise-specific data portal. For more information, see Configure a Custom Enterprise Portal on a PC.

Homepage of workbench

On the Workbench tab, you can view and manage your workspaces, quickly create resources, and quickly access recently operated resources.

  1. Information about the current account: includes the nickname, role, and created resources of the current account.

  2. Quick Create: Directly displays the entry points for creating various types of resources, making it convenient for you to find the entry points and improve efficiency.

  3. My Workspaces: shows a list of your workspaces to help you view resources in the workspaces and manage the workspaces in an efficient manner.

    Click a workspace to enter the resource list on the Workbench tab.

  4. My recent operations: The Recently Edited, Created by Me, and My Favorites tabs display the resources that you recently edited, created, and added to favorites. This way, you can quickly find the resources that need to be edited multiple times on the Workbench tab and start and re-edit the resources in an efficient manner.

    1. Open the resource in a new window

    2. Copy the URL of the resource and provide the URL to authorized users for collaborative operations

    3. Add the resource to favorites

Note

Workspace Management (Section 4) can be viewed only by users who have permissions to manage workspaces.

You can expand or collapse the resource list on the Workbench tab.

When the resource list on the Workbench tab is collapsed, you can expand it by moving your mouse to the left list. You can also click the image icon to expand the list

Open platform

The Open Platform provides Quick BI reports and data to third parties, making it easier for more people to interact with data. For more information, see Overview.

Organization management

In the Pro and Professional Edition, administrators can manage Quick BI organizations in the configuration panel (including organization management, enterprise security management, collaborative office management, organization-level feature configuration, and artificial intelligence for IT operations).
