Alibaba Cloud Domain Name System (DNS) is a domain name management platform. It supports both internal and Internet-based domain name resolution. Each domain name on the Internet is globally unique. You cannot use a domain name that has already been registered by other registrars. A registered domain name can be queried from anywhere on the Internet.
PrivateZone is an internal network-based domain name service for Alibaba Cloud users. PrivateZone allows you to customize any domain names that can be only accessed within specified Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs). You do not have to worry about whether these domain names have already been registered by others on the public networks. Your private domain names cannot be queried outside the specified VPCs.
