Primary instance specifications
Definition: The total fee for a primary instance. For a PolarDB-X Enterprise Edition instance, the fee is calculated using the following formula: (unit price of compute node specifications × number of compute nodes) + (unit price of data node specifications × number of data nodes). For a PolarDB-X Standard Edition instance, the fee is based on its node specifications.
Required: Yes, it is.

NoteIf you set the billing method for storage space to Pay-as-you-go, pay-as-you-go billable items are generated for subscription instances.
Read-only instance specifications
Definition: The total fee for a PolarDB-X Enterprise Edition read-only instance. The fee is calculated using the following formula: (unit price of compute node specifications × number of compute nodes) + (unit price of data node specifications × number of data nodes).
NotePolarDB-X Standard Edition does not support read-only instances.

Storage space
Definition: The fee for the storage space that is used by PolarDB-X instances, including primary instances, read-only instances, and secondary clusters in a Global Database Network (GDN).

Columnstore index (Columnar)
Definition: A value-added service for PolarDB-X Enterprise Edition that accelerates analytical queries.
Required: No.
Billing methods (Planned): Subscription or pay-as-you-go.
Pricing: This feature is free of charge during public preview.
NoteThe columnstore index feature is free of charge, but you are charged for the index storage in Object Storage Service (OSS).
Global Database Network (GDN)
Definition: A value-added service of PolarDB-X Enterprise Edition that enables cross-region local reads and disaster recovery switchovers.
Required: No.
Billing methods: Subscription or pay-as-you-go.
