PolarDB:Why are bills still generated after a cluster is released or unsubscribed from?

Last Updated:Nov 13, 2024

This topic describes the reasons why bills are still generated after a PolarDB cluster is released or unsubscribed from and the solutions to these issues.

If bills are still generated after you release or unsubscribe from a PolarDB cluster, it may be caused by the following reasons:

  • The PolarDB cluster has pay-as-you-go billable items, bills for these items are generated in a delayed manner. Therefore, bills are still generated after the PolarDB cluster is released or unsubscribed from.

    • Subscription clusters have pay-as-you-go billable items whose bills are generated in a delayed manner. For example, storage space is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.

    • The bills of pay-as-you-go clusters are generated in a delayed manner.

    Note

You can view the pay-as-you-go bills of the cluster in the PolarDB console. For more information, see View bills.

  • The PolarDB cluster that has been released or unsubscribed from is retained in the cluster recycle bin as a secondary backup set. This incurs fees. You can permanently delete the cluster that has been released or unsubscribed from in the console to terminate billing. For more information, see Delete a released cluster.
