This topic describes how to create a PolarDB-X 1.0 instance and related precautions.

Procedure

  1. You can go to the PolarDB-X 1.0 instance buy page by using one of the following methods:
    • Method 1
      1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud homepage.
      2. Choose Products > Database > Relational Database, and click PolarDB-X to go to the homepage of PolarDB-X 1.0.
      3. On the PolarDB-X 1.0 homepage, click Buy Now to go to the PolarDB-X 1.0 instance buy page.
    • Method 2
      1. Log on to the PolarDB-X 1.0 console.
      2. In the upper-right corner of the console, click Create an instance to go to the PolarDB-X 1.0 instance buy page.
  2. Click PolarDB-X 1.0 (Subscription)
  3. On the buy page, set the following parameters.
    Option Description
    Region and Zone Configure the physical location of the instance by selecting a region and a zone.
    Note Currently, PolarDB-X 1.0 instances are available only in Singapore (Singapore) and China (Hong Kong).
    Instance Type The instance type can only be Dedicated Instance and cannot be changed.
    Network Type The network type can only be VPC and cannot be changed.
    Note Before you select VPC as the network type, you must prepare a VPC and a VSwitch in your region and zone. For more information, see Create and manage a VPC.
    Instance Series You can select Starter Edition, Standard Edition, Enterprise Edition, or Ultimate Edition based on your business scenarios.
    Specification Select the instance specification with specific CPU cores and memory size.
    Purchase Plan Select the subscription duration of the instance.
    Quantity Select the number of instances that you want to buy.
  4. Click Buy Now.
  5. On the Confirm Order page, confirm your order details, read and agree to the PolarDB-X 1.0 Subscription Agreement of Service, and then click Pay.
  6. On the Purchase page, confirm the unpaid order and the payment method, and click Purchase.
  7. After the payment is completed, you must wait 1 to 5 minutes to activate the service. You can then return to the Instances page of the console to view the instance you created.
