The compute nodes of PolarDB for MySQL Cluster, Multi-primary Cluster, and Archive Database Cluster Edition are classified into two types: General-purpose and Dedicated. This topic describes the differences between the two types of compute nodes.

- The following table describes the prices of compute nodes for a PolarDB for MySQL Multi-primary Cluster that is deployed in the Chinese mainland. For more information about the pricing of compute nodes in different regions, see Billing rules of compute nodes.
- The PolarDB clusters that you purchase on January 7, 2022 or later use Enterprise Edition PolarProxy. Their maximum values of input/output operations per second (IOPS), are listed the Maximum IOPS (PolarProxy Enterprise Edition) column. For clusters that you purchase before January 7, 2022, PolarProxy will be gradually upgraded to Enterprise Edition. After upgrade, their maximum IOPS will also become the values listed in the Maximum IOPS (PolarProxy Enterprise Edition) column.
