This topic describes the file download feature and its download limits.
Features
Concurrent downloads for multiple files: You can download up to 10 tasks at the same time.
Custom download speed: When you download multiple files concurrently, you can set a maximum network bandwidth to reduce the impact on your network.
Download retries: If a download error occurs, the system automatically retries the download to improve the task success rate.
Anonymous download via share links: When you access a share link, you can select the target files and specify a download method.

Download files individually in a browser: All files are downloaded one by one through the browser, regardless of their size or number. The folder structure is not preserved.
Download files as a package in a browser: All files are downloaded as a package, regardless of their size or number. The total size of the files in the compressed package cannot exceed 10 GB.
Download using the desktop client: The desktop client is launched to download the files, regardless of their size or number. To view the download progress, you can right-click the Enterprise Drive icon in the status bar.
Download settings
Administrator
Log on to the Enterprise Drive Management Console with an administrator account. In the section, you can configure the default download method for the web client. You can select one of the following four modes:
Always download files individually in a browser
When a user downloads files from the web client, the files are downloaded one by one in the browser, regardless of their number or size.
The original folder structure is not preserved. The downloaded files are placed directly in the local destination folder.
Always download multiple files as a package in a browser
When a user downloads multiple files, the system automatically packages them into a compressed file in ZIP format for download through the browser.
The folder structure is preserved within the compressed package.
The maximum size for a single compressed package is 10 GB.
Always download using the desktop client
When a user clicks Download in the web client, the installed desktop client is automatically launched to handle the download.
The original folder structure is preserved. This method is suitable for scenarios that require a complete folder hierarchy.
The user must have the Enterprise Drive desktop client installed and be logged on.
User-defined
When a user clicks Download in the web client, they can manually select a download method:
Download files individually in a browser
Download files as a package in a browser
Download using the desktop client

Regular user
Log on to Enterprise Drive as a regular user. Click your Profile Picture in the upper-right corner and select User Settings to configure file transfer settings.
1. Desktop client settings (client installation required)
Download location: You can customize the default save path for downloaded files.
Number of concurrent transfers: You can set the number of files to transfer at the same time. This setting affects the overall transfer efficiency.
Maximum transfer speed: You can set a speed limit to control upload or download bandwidth usage.
2. Web client settings (Web client)
Number of concurrent transfers: You can adjust the number of files to upload or download at the same time in the web client.
Shard size: You can set the file upload shard size. You can optimize transfer performance based on network stability. For example, you can use a larger shard size for large file uploads.
Download location: The web client does not support directly setting the download path. You can change it in your browser's download settings.

Download limits
When you download files as a package, the total size of the files in the compressed package cannot exceed 10 GB. This limit cannot be adjusted. If your files exceed this limit, you must use the desktop client to download them.
