Global Accelerator (GA) is an intelligent network acceleration technology provided by Drive and Photo Service (Developer Edition). GA is designed to optimize data transmission paths and provide you with faster and more stable access experience. Based on the transfer acceleration technology of Alibaba Cloud Object Storage Service (OSS), GA intelligently routes user requests to the nearest access point and significantly accelerates data upload and download. This topic describes the scenarios of GA and how to use GA.
Prerequisites
You have created a Drive and Photo Service (Developer Edition) domain.
Real-name verification is complete for the account. For more information, see Real-name verification.
Precautions
If you enable GA to upload or download data, acceleration fees are generated. Uploading data incurs traffic fees for accelerated uploads, while downloading data incurs traffic fees for acceleraed downloads and is counted towards outbound Internet traffic fees of drives. For example, if you download 1 GB of data from a drive by using GA, you need to pay for transfer acceleration for 1 GB of data and an outbound Internet traffic for 1 GB of data.
