This topic describes the overdue payments of Artificial Intelligence (AI) computing resource groups, Elastic Algorithm Service (EAS), Machine Learning Designer, Dataset Accelerator, and scenario-based solutions in Platform for AI (PAI).
AI computing resource groups
Causes
If you do not have sufficient funds in your Alibaba Cloud account, including the account balance and vouchers, to complete a payment, your account has an overdue payment.
Service suspension
If computing power nodes in an AI computing resource group expires or fails to be renewed, the related features become unavailable.
If you renew the nodes within one calendar day (24 hours) after the expiration date, the related features are automatically restored.
If you do not renew the nodes within one calendar day (24 hours) after the expiration date, the resources are released. After 24 hours, related tasks are stopped, and you cannot continue performing operations.

EAS
Causes
Your account balance is insufficient.
Subscription nodes: Your account balance is insufficient to complete renewal orders.
Pay-as-you-go nodes: Your account balance is insufficient to settle the bill of the previous billing cycle. If the payment fails, your account has an overdue payment.
Service suspension
Subscription nodes
If a node expires or fails to be renewed, the node is released. After the node is released, the node stops providing services and the EAS services that use the node enter the waiting state.
If you renew the node within 15 calendar days (360 hours) after the expiration date, the node is automatically recovered.
If you do not renew the node within 15 calendar days (360 hours) after the expiration date, the node is permanently deleted.
Pay-as-you-go nodes, including public resource groups and pay-as-you-go nodes in dedicated resource groups
If you settle the overdue payments within 24 hours after the payments become overdue, your resource groups remain available. Otherwise, public resource groups are stopped and pay-as-you-go nodes are released. After the nodes are released, the nodes enter the stopped state and the EAS services that use the nodes enter the waiting state.
If you settle the overdue payments within 15 calendar days (360 hours) after the payments become overdue, the system recovers the resource groups and the data in the resource groups is retained. Otherwise, the nodes are permanently deleted.

Machine Learning Designer and Dataset Accelerator
Causes
Your account balance is insufficient.
Subscription: Your account balance is insufficient to complete renewal orders.
Pay-as-you-go: Your account balance is insufficient to settle the previous bill. If the payment fails, your account has an overdue payment.
NoteDataset Accelerator supports only the subscription billing method.
Service suspension
In PAI, bills are generated within 4 hours after the previous billing cycle ends and displayed by using the T + 1 settlement method. If your account has an overdue payment, you are notified by text message.
In this case, your PAI resources remain available for 24 hours. After 24 hours, your services are suspended.

Service suspension
In Data Science Workshop (DSW), you can receive bills 2 to 3 hours after usage.
If your account has an overdue payment, DSW instances are stopped, and you are notified by text message.
If your account has an overdue payment for more than 7 days, DSW instances are automatically released. To prevent affecting your business, renew your resource at the earliest opportunity. For more information, see Renewal policy.
