Managed Service for OpenTelemetry:Contact groups

When you create a notification policy, you can specify a contact group to receive alert notifications. When one of the notification policy's matching rules is triggered, the alert management module of Managed Service for OpenTelemetry notifies the contacts in the specified contact group by phone, text message, email, and DingTalk message.

Prerequisite

Contacts are created.

Create a contact group

  1. Log on to the Managed Service for OpenTelemetry console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Management > Notification Objects. On the Contacts tab page, click Create Contact Group.

  3. In the Create Contact Group dialog box, set Group Name and Alert Contacts, and click OK.

    Note

    The new contact group appears in the list on the left side of the Contacts tab page.

Manage a contact group

On the Contacts tab, you can perform the following actions:

  • Edit a contact group: Choose More icon > Edit Group. In the dialog box that appears, modify the name or contacts of the contact group, and click OK.

  • View contact group details: Click Down arrow to the left of the contact group to expand its details.

  • Delete a contact group: Choose More icon > Delete Group. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

    Important
    • Before deleting a contact group, make sure that it is not part of a notification policy. Otherwise, the corresponding alert notifications cannot be issued.

    • You can delete only contact groups created with the account you are currently using.
