Managed Service for OpenTelemetry:Event analysis

Managed Service for OpenTelemetry lets you analyze generated alert events in real time across diverse scenarios based on custom filter conditions.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Managed Service for OpenTelemetry console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Management > Events.

  3. In the upper-right corner of the page, select a region and set the time range. image

    1. Filter and search sections: You can find the alert events that you want to manage by using both the filter section on the left side and the search section on the top of the page.

      • Quick Filter (icon 1): You can query alert events by alert level, event status, event object, and integration type.

      • Search section:

        • Click the text box on the top. In the drop-down filter panel, configure the existing filter conditions or add custom ones.

        • Click image.png to the right of the text box to save the specified filter conditions.

        • Click Saved Views to the right of the text box to view saved filter conditions. Select the one you want to access the alert events.

    2. Send Test Events (icon 2): In the dialog box that appears after you click this button, set Integration Name and Event Content, and click OK to send the test events.

    3. Alert Event Trend (icon 3): After you set filter conditions in the Quick Filter section, the alert event trend is displayed in a graph.

    4. Alert event list (icon 4): Click image.png to manage the parameters displayed in the list.

      Parameter

      Description

      Event Name

      The name of the alert event.

      In the panel that appears, click an event name to view its details, history, and associated alerts.

      Feature Field

      The extended tag of the alert event.

      Hover over this parameter and click image.png to add its value as a filter condition.

      Event Status

      The status of the alert event. Valid values:

      • Cleared

      • Not Cleared

      • Silence

      Hover over this parameter and click image.png to add its value as a filter condition.

      Number of Events

      The number of alert events.

      Associated Alerts

      The associated alerts. Click an associated alert to view its details.

      Actions

      Click Manually Clear Alert to manually change the state of the alert event to Cleared.
